本报讯(记者叶卡斯)昨天上午，广州市召开第六次全国人口普查总结表彰会，总结全市第六次人口普查工作，表彰普查先进集体和个人，并公布了广州市第六次全国人口普查的主要数据结果。广州市人口普查领导小组组长、市委常委、常务副市长邬毅敏出席会议并讲话。
据介绍，本次人口普查顺利完成了对全市400多万居民户、1000多万人口的普查登记，获得1.5亿多翔实数据，准确掌握了自2000年以来广州人口数量、结构、分布等方面的变化，初步摸清了全市人口的婚姻、生育、社会保障、住房以及人员，同时，逐步揭示了广州人口发展的老龄化趋势加快，流动人口规模扩大等挑战。
